Garden Waste Collections Restart
DDC are pleased to confirm that our fortnightly garden waste collection service will restart week commencing Monday 11 October 2021.
Subscribers will shortly be receiving letters confirming the week of their next garden waste collection. The day of the week for these collections remains the same as before the service was suspended, and more information on this (and all your waste collections), can be found on the online collections checker: https://collections.dover.gov.uk/property
In recognition of the garden waste collections that were missed, we will be offering a discount off the subscription for 2022/23 to all existing customers. As usual, we will accept up to 6 bags of garden waste on each collection day.
We apologise for the difficulties that the suspension of the garden waste service has created for subscribers, and we thank those affected for bearing with us.
We are able to restart the garden waste service as Veolia has had success in recruiting and retaining HGV drivers, and has been able to focus resources on getting household waste and recycling collections back on track. We continue to monitor the national situation regarding fuel, but this is not currently an issue for our waste collections.
